I have lived in Japan for several years, and on this family trip I wanted my parents to experience an authentic Japanese ryokan. We were all delighted with the attention we received, from the very first moment when we were guided to our family room by Yoshie-san, who later brought us tea and sweets. The room was comfortable and large enough for three futon and all our luggage, and equipped with everything we needed for the very nice common bath. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant, and every day breakfast brought delicious new surprises. The ryokan’s garden is spectacular. The staff were all very helpful, and though I speak Japanese, I saw them doing a good job of communicating with other guests in English.
